Venue Information

Overview:

The AAMI Classic annual event starts on Wednesday 13th January through to Saturday 16th January 2010. Play starts at 11.00 am (Wed – Fri) and 1.00 pm on Saturday. Four matches are played on Wednesday, three each on Thursday and Friday, with two finals on Saturday. Kooyong's AAMI Classic plays an integral role in Australia's "summer of tennis".


Roger Federer is the current AAMI Classic champion and Andy Roddick, Andre Agassi and Michael Chang have all won the event three times.

 

How to get there:

Australia's famous Kooyong stadium is located at 489 Glenferrie Rd Kooyong.
Situated between Toorak Rd and the Monash Freeway, it has an abundance of car parking space available on the eastern side of Glenferrie Rd as well as easy access via tram and train services, Kooyong Station, on the Glen Waverely line, being less than 200 metres from the front gates and tram route no. 16 stopping at the stadium entrance.

 

The ticket box is located adjacent to the stadium front gates in Glenferrie Rd. Access to the clubhouse for those with suitable passes is to the south of the ticket box.

Public Transportation:

The Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club is adjacent to the Kooyong railway station, on the Glen Waverley line. Alternatively, the route 69 tram travels along Glenferrie Road. Alight at stop 63a for the Centre.
